ATTA GIRL!!!

She really really could not believe it.  I don't know what was more wonderful, Lauren or Martine's reaction from the stands!!

As Peggy Liddick said, "Statistically, it was you turn, they just had to give it to you!!"

  4. I'm very happy for Lauren. Also, on a much less serious note, I really loved her leotard from finals.

  5. I love Lauren, she's a wonderful gymnast and she did a lovely floor routine, but I have to say when they showed her score I was a bit confused. I genuinely thought there were at least 2 other girls - Ferrari and Mustafina - who performed better executed, more difficult routines on the night. Would anyone care to explain how Lauren managed to win over those two? I am really confused.

  6. Lauren's D score(difficulty score) was the highest of all the FX event finalists as I recall. Vanessa Ferrari's was much lower than Lauren's .6 difference from memory. As for Mustafina she had a slightly lower D score .1 or .2 and made some mistakes as well. That said Vanessa's E score (execution score) I believe was the best of all the finalists. Again the details are all from memory so may not be 100% accurate but should be close.

  7. Ferari was best, but that's not the point. She was only a couple tenths better than Chelaru n E score despite clearly being much better. If there was a 0.5 E score difference and the 0.6 difficulty was enough to overcome it, I could buy the result. but the E scores were all clustered with a tenth either side of 9. And the routine execution was not that similar.

Judges are not doing the E score properly. Only solution is to start publishing the actual deductions.

P.s. Mitchel muscles that wolf turn...
