Marlies rijken by Sandra Janssen

The Dutch team cam in second at the meet in the Netherlands this weekend, a result I am sure they are very pleased with.  They have been hampered somewhat by national Champion Mayra Kronen's injury, but still have a lot of strong members.

The secondary Dutch team also came fourth.  Celine Van Gerner was the Dutch's top scorer on beam and floor.  The elegant bar worker, Marlies Rijken was the top team score on bars, while Wyomi Masela topped their vault.  The Dutch women were most competitive on vault, it seems, with the narrowest gap between them and Russia on that event.

I can't find too many videos yet, but here is Suzanne Harmes on floor.  It really is great to see this older, mother still doing solid gymnastics.  It is also quite a great piece of floor music too. They should put more into the choreography, though.
