I really, really do.  I am so pleased for Amelia Racea, winning the European beam title.  That is a great little beam routine and this little champ needed a confidence boster.  Also, kudos for little Pitic Haidu for redeeming herself to take bronze.

Congratulation too to Diana Chelaru who has polished up to become a divine gymnast on floor.  A well-deserved medal!

Larisa Iordache proved what an excellent junior she is by claiming two medals, and the other wunderkind, Bulimar earned one on bars.

My little Romanian homies proved that even in the face of the giant brick wall that is the Russian squad's talent factory, that they can do a little gymnastics @#$-whooping of their own.  They finished with more gymnasts in medal positions in event finals than gymnasts who fell outside. That, my friends, counts as serious success, especially with European nations like France, Italy and the British nipping at their heels all the way.

Running on a patchy National team, with injuries and depth issues as well as a serious lack of seniors must be a little bit nightmarish for Nicolae Forminte, but as he said about the team finals bronze, we lost the battle but we are still fighting the war.  He and all the Romanian coaches must be very, very proud right now.
