A happily be-medalled Koko Tsurumi, who lived up to everything she seemed to be promising in Beijing, and more!

And the Japanese crew seemed to never leave the stands, except to compete.  They watched and cheered on all the Japanese.  They were the loudest and most supportive national team... and they had a lot to cheer about!

Andreea Raducan hanging out between sessions.

Svetlana Boginskaya, who was there all week, gossiping with her former Russian team mates or hanging out with Moceanu.

Well, if you want to know what they're saying, go back a few  entries and find out!

Nilson Savage, Jessica Lopez's coach crunching numbers in the crowds next to us, waiting to see if J-Lo was going to make AA.

Jessica Lopez not looking too distraught about not making it to the AA.  That's because she is about to pull a packet a peanut M&M's out of her pocket!  I wish things had gone better for Jess, but there is always next year.

The gorgeous little Louie, who sat in front of us.  A gymnast himself, with a love of Youtube, Louie was so onto it, he was able to spot all the gymnasts and even tell me when my favorite of the next session, Ksenia Semenova had entered the stadium.  He was a legend.  Here's hoping he will be a gymnastics legend too!  Good luck, Louie!

Ana Myzdrikova came into the crowds to watch her team mates perform.  At once point, I saw Larissa Latynina, who was sitting a couple of seats from me go over and talk to her.  I am not sure if Ana knew her, or was just finding out that Latynina used to be in her place, all those years ago, as a Russian gymnast.

So Svetlana Khorkina has gone brunette.  Do you think it is about her political career?  I wonder....

The seriously, unbelievably tiny Oksana Chussovitina.  When I saw her and Kozich skipping around the 02 holding hands and giggling at the mens quals, I nearly fell over.  How did she have a child?  She is the size of a child?!!!  A small one!

Nastia came in during quals to sit with Nelli Kim right in front of us and have a little gossip.  It wasn't long, though, before kids in the crowd noticed and there were throngs of autograph hunters behind her waiting.  She was nice though.  She had to run off before signing anything, but she promised the kids she'd come back, and she actually did.
P.S I hate that jacket.  It should be burnt.

And the next day she sat in front of me with Martha for a while, before wandering off again.

Maria Olaru looking thoughtful.  I took advantage of her stopping to chat to some autograph hunters to get a photo.

Semmy sat behind me to watch her girls in the vault finals.  The jacket was hilarious, because not only did it have leopard print fur, but what you can't see is that it had a plume of coloured feathers coming off each shoulder!!

Isabelle Severino cheering on the Frenchies from the media stands.

Ana Porgras came and stood near during the men's high bar finals.  I could resist a photo!  I was busted!
